Welcome to the Faculty Mentorship Academy!

The Faculty Mentorship Academy (FMA) connects faculty members across ranks and disciplines in supportive Mentorship Circles designed to foster growth, collaboration, and professional success.

Over nine months, mentees meet regularly with experienced faculty mentors, attend faculty development workshops, and create a personalized development plan focused on their short- and long-term goals. The program provides opportunities to build community, enhance research, teaching, and service skills, and gain valuable career and psychosocial support.

Participants who complete the program receive recognition from the Office of Faculty Success, a certificate of participation, and ongoing membership in the Faculty Mentorship Academy, with future opportunities to serve as a mentor.

Take the next step in your faculty journey, apply to the Faculty Mentorship Academy today and grow with a community dedicated to your success.

✅ Why become a mentor?
A mentor in the  Faculty Mentorship Academy is a guide, a thought partner, and a champion of faculty growth. Mentorship isn’t about having every answer—it’s about fostering an environment where faculty can learn, reflect, and thrive. Through intentional dialogue, shared experiences, and ongoing support, mentors help mentees gain clarity, explore new possibilities, and navigate their academic careers with purpose and confidence. Your role is to inspire, empower, and help shape the future of faculty success at Texas Tech.
✅ Why become a mentee?

Through your Mentorship Circle in the Faculty Mentorship Academy, you’ll gain fresh perspectives, strengthen your skills as an educator and scholar, and build valuable connections across campus. As a mentee, you’ll gain confidence to navigate academic challenges, advance your teaching, professional practice research, and service goals, and make meaningful progress toward  your short- and long-term aspirations-all while contributing to a stronger, more connected faculty community at Texas Tech.
